being a grown up
two weeks ago at the VCA grad show i was totally a grown up and bought some art by lyndal may. how posh! you can check out her stuff here. i received my purchase today and was going to take my own photo of it - but this pic of the artist herself with my new mirror is much prettier.
when i look in the mirror, i tend to focus on the flaws and unmet aspirations i see before me. what better way to cut the pettiness in half than a sarcastic reminder of my own mortality?
i also adore this pic - the expression on her lovely face, the beautiful light and her spectacular print dress. tonight we shared a farewell macaron (or three) and a g&t. adios amiga!
