warrior kicks and graffers sans pants

Thursday night I headed to St Ali (one of the BEST places to eat south side) for the launch of Lunchbreak, a new short film from Cos We Can. More on that in a little bit - photographer Amy Lobb and I are working on an article about it for Board World Girls mag, which drops online 1st Sept.

I haven’t known Amy all that long but will forever respect her for doing the kind of weird shit that people expect from me when Im drunk. This time she beat me to the punch, asking a random dude up a ladder with a mask on to drop his daks. after abusing the free Coronas next door, we wandered out looking for surfer Kirby Wright and found local graffers Retainer and Bailer instead, spraying away while a rough cut of their newest album (they rap together) blasted from a serious looking Merc that was plastered all over with the Warrior logo.

their friend Alice told us how she had finally secured the rights to sell the cult kicks over here after trying for 6 years. They were first designed in 1927 in China and are kind of a big deal over there. Warrior is having a pop up sale this weekend at 20 Yarra place South Melbourne from 7am. if youre into sweet shoes or graffing or just dudes that don’t mind getting semi naked, you should probably go check it out.

xx
